1. Whether I can submit more than one proposal at a time? +

Ans: Yes. A PI can submit proposals in response to more than one basket proposal.

3. Will I receive the grant through I-grasp portal? +

Ans: No. Fund release will be done through Public Financial Management System (PFMS) portal only. After approval of the project, separate sanction order will be issued by DOS for release of grants through PFMS/CNA (Central Nodel Agency).

5. I have already submitted the proposal. Can I edit the content of the proposal? +

Ans: No. Once the proposal is submitted, it is not possible to edit the content.

7. I am an individual working in a private company. Can I register in the i-grasp portal ? +

Ans: Only Faculty of Educational/Research Institutions are supported under ISRO Grant-in-Aid programme. The Principal Investigator(s) should be full-time employee(s) of the concerned institution.

9. Can I change the details of my institution? +

Ans: You cannot change the initial details of the institution once already registered. Only new bank account information and affiliated college details can be updated.

11. Can I register my institution if it is not already registered? +

Ans: Yes. A PI can register the institution in the i-grasp portal using “Add new Institution” option under List of Institutions by providing the details of the institution.

13. Where can I submit the RESPOND basket proposal? +

Ans: Kindly login to the i-grasp portal using login credentials.

15. How can I update my bio-data? +

Ans: Login to your account in the i-grasp portal. Under “My Account”, you can update your personal details including publication list.

17. How Can I register into i-grasp portal? +

Ans: Kindly visit our igrasp portal https://igrasp.isro.gov.in, in the portal we have register option. By using that option you can register yourself in the portal.

2. Is there any age limit for submitting the proposal? +

Ans: The age limit for the Principal Investigator should be below 65 years (sixty five) including the project period.

4. Can I edit/update the content before final submission of the project proposal? +

Ans: Yes. Under “My proposals” option, you can see the proposals submitted by you. Choosing the proposal, you can use the “Edit” option for the editing/updating the proposal and submission.

6. Whether I can save the proposal content and submit later? +

Ans: Yes. After providing the information, save draft option can be used for saving the content. Once the proposal is submitted, it is not possible to edit the content again.

8. I am a student. Can I register in the i-grasp portal and apply for the grant for research? +

Ans: Only Faculty of Educational/Research Institutions are supported under ISRO Grant-in-Aid programme. The Principal Investigator(s) should be full-time employee(s) of the concerned institution. The age limit for the Principal Investigator should be below 65 years (sixty five) including the project period.

10. How can I view RESPOND basket proposals? +

Ans: All RESPOND Basket proposals are available at “RESPOND Basket” option. List of the proposals will appear and summary and other details of the proposal can be seen at “See details” option.

12. How can I see my institution is already registered or not? +

Ans: In the home page of your login, click in “List of Institutions”. You can search by the name of the institution.

14. How can I check the status of my submitted proposal? +

Ans: After logging in, the submitted proposals and status of each proposal can be viewed under “My proposals” option.

16. How Can I log into i-grasp portal? +

Ans: Kindly visit ISRO website https://www.isro.gov.in/igrasp_portal.html

18. How can I submit a new project proposal? +

Ans: New proposal can be submitted under the option “Submit New Proposal” by providing the requisite information and using “submit” option.
